SoftChronizer Bug-Report

Thank you for filling out the following form! - With your bug-report, you will enable us to publish an update that eliminates the errors found by you as soon as possible! - So, last but not least you will be the one who will benefit from reporting a bug to us. - If you like to get an answer to your bug report, you must fill out the e-mail field also, if not, you also can leave it empty.


Before filling out this form ...

... you should should consider, that possible reasons for your bug might be harddisk-problems (corrupt files), or network-problems (if scanning files over network). – In the first case, you should scan your HD for errors first, either using: “Computer – {select a volume} - <right-click on that volume> - Properties – Tools – [Check now…]” (click on scheduled disk check, if shown, repeat this step for all your volumes - and then reboot Windows), or by using the Windows Command Prompt (under: “All Programs -> Accessories”) and check your HDs with the following command:

CHKDSK {volume-letter + “:”} /f /b

(Do this for each volume-letter and reboot Windows, if neccessary, afterwards. Attention: It can take a long time to check all volumes!)

If the error still occures, and you can exclude HD and network problems, and probably have tested the beta release (because especially your bug might already be fixed some days ago), then please fill out the bug-report form and we will try to reproduce your bug here. – If you know, how to export the registry-key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GaCaS\SoftChronizer

then please send it to us with the form below! It would be a great help for us! - If you don't know how to do this, we can send you advice, after you have sent the bug-report.

If possible, please provide us with a screenshot of the bug or of the application for to get an impression what actually is happening when the bug occured and what the settings are, you have made when the bug is shown. - A picture oftenly says more than 1,000 words! (Under MS Windows 7, you can make screenshots easily with MS-Window's [Snipping-Tool], which you can find under: [Start - All Programs - Accessories], if you shouldn't use another solution for screenshots anyway.)

If possible, please export the contents of the: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GaCaS\SoftChronizer] registry key, with all its sub-keys, as a text (.REG) file and then send it to us with this form.
